Welcome to our world! This little piece of the internet is about the adventures of our family which includes me (a working mom who loves to craft when possible), my husband (a working dad who travels a great deal), our three kids--a teenager, a preening pre-teen, and a handsome little preschooler. Oh, and our rotten golden doodle, Penny.

Snow fun inside...
On Saturday Cooper was bummed that I wouldn't let him outside so I brought some outside inside to him....he loved playing with his snow in his highchair. He was driving his cars through it, and walking the animals through it too. He loved it---it was the next best thing to actually going out and running in it himself. Wow--- I think this is the 4th or 5th post today! Be sure to check them all out!
A bit of snow...

mhmmm....just a bit. The pictures are all out of order---the one with just a dusting is obviously the "before" picture. It's somewhere between 30-36" around our house. There was a lot of wind so there are some drift taller than we are. My husband had to go out and shovel a path to the backyard so the dogs could have a place to go do their business----we could only push the door open about five inches at first so let them out---and had to give them an encouraging push on the behind to convince them to go out. The picture on the left of my husband standing in the backyard with snow to his waist is looking out the window on the back of our house. It is up to the windows. Crazy snow! I wouldn't take Cooper out on Saturday because it didn't stop snowing until late in the evening and the blizzard warning was going on until late Saturday, but he enjoyed it from the window in his room---he would say over and over "no, no" which is his version of "snow". I had a heck of a time getting him back in the house today after letting him go out to play---he is definitely all boy and has no hesitation about getting right into that cold, wet stuff. That, and he was throwing himself down the driveway on his belly like a little penguin---I had to take him inside to prevent any unnecessary trips to the hospital since we would have to call the National Guard to get us out of the driveway---our roads have yet to be plowed.
Kitchen fun...

so, you may be expecting some cooking post....but not when you're snowed in at our house---that means that Cooper is spending a lot of time doing things he probably shouldn't be doing. :) Here he is using one of the stools around the house to get the bottle brush which sometimes he uses as a hair brush, other times to tame his stuffed animals, and sometimes just to get mommy to chase him around the table.
Grampy's visit and my new love....

Cooper's Grampy came to visit us this past week to help us put down bamboo flooring in Cooper's room. It matches the flooring we have in our bedroom on the same floor of the house and because of a water leak and dogs we needed to take up the old carpet pronto---so it was Super Grampy to the rescue! Luckily we were smart enough to get his flight changed to a day early so that we avoided the blizzard and the canceling of hundreds of flights so that he was able to get back to KY for his Super Bowl party! Go Colts!
Right now--- anytime you have the camera out and say "cheese" you get that second to last face from Cooper. :) What a ham.
