no pictures....for now....

So, we keep trying to get pictures of Cooper walking....but no such luck. If he even sees the video camera or Nikon he gets all crazy and falls down to quickly crawl over to try and snatch it out of our hands. Maybe he's a budding photographer? Hopefully I can set up the camera and just turn it on with the remote....sneaky, but it just may work! Just wanted to update everyone that he is taking more and more steps....and yesterday he almost went down to start crawling and stopped mid-plop to stand back up and walk....about 10 steps altogether! Our little boy is getting SO big!

Funny walks....

So, Cooper has been cruising the furniture for some time now, and he's even taken several steps all on his own.....but now he has found a new walk. I like to call it the "Walking Downward Facing Dog". He's a funny creature.

First Sentence..??

Well, the other day I hear from the highchair "dah, geh oww" which loosely translated is "dogs, get out". Guess Matt and I need to "mix" it up a bit when we're telling the dogs to leave a particular room (namely the kitchen when Cooper is eating---they think he is a human snack machine). Made me laugh....which in turn made Cooper very proud!

Barefoot Landing...

I had to visit the place that is called one of my favorite things---barefoot. I take off my shoes (which are usually just flip flops) as soon as I can when I walk in the door. There were some neat shops, restaurants, and attractions. These photo opportunities were around every corner, and the kids loved them while Cooper found a love for lemons. A giant dinosaur (well, really it was just a small man in a big dinosaur suit) in front of the Imax theatre was handing out little American flags which kept Cooper entertained for a while too. Good times!

We must be getting close to the end...

Here are a couple of shots from our adventure to Broadway at the Boardwalk. We had lunch as Liberty's-- a local brewery. Yummy beer which made the complaints about heat, boredom, and constant requests for "can I have that?" much easier. Also, I included a few pictures of the fireworks on the beach for the 4th of July.

Here are some more pictures from the Great Road Trip of 2009....and proof of the reason we had to carry a naked baby back into the hotel. He was soaked and full of sand, but he had a smile on his face the whole time....he LOVED It! There's also one shot of our fabulous hotel!

Myrtle Beach '09

So, we went to Myrtle Beach, SC with all three kiddos and had a really great time! There are a ton of pictures so I will slowly upload some here and there. All three of them really loved the beach...and I love the idea of the beach. I could live at the beach if only it weren't for that annoying sand. I don't like sand....I'm still finding sand.

Balls...

are Cooper's new favorite thing. Balls of all shapes, sizes, and colors....here he is trying to shove one in his mouth. Silly boy! Of course, with all of these teeth coming in everything goes in his mouth. Poor guy!

So, we found out about this contest through my cousin who entered her adorable little guy, and then I saw it again while we were in South Carolina at the beach so I figured..."Why not?
