Boating with Uncle Tom...

"What does this do??"
"It honks the horn really loud!!"

Driving with Uncle Tom

Hanging out with Daddy, waiting to go "fast"!
Cooper's Godfather, "Uncle" Tom, came down to KY from West Virginia for the  4th of July.  We all enjoyed the boat out on the Ohio River!  Cooper did great...he loved going fast, loved getting in the water, and listened fairly well for an almost  two year old.  I think we're lucky that he likes his life vest.

Floating with Uncle Tom
"Smile"
Kyler getting ready to tube

I think Cooper is saying "What am I swimming in...?"

Fun Times at Gigi and Papaw's House...

Well, here are the pictures from our trip to KY....We had a great time!
His first ice cream cone....well sherbet cone.  We shared.

PaPaw showing Cooper the bird's nest we found when we were cutting hedges.

Sidewalk chalk and paint were big hits!
Kisses....it's hard to get him to stay still for these moments.
Did I mention that it's hard to get him to stay still...??
Playing with his Sesame Street pals..

Hugs for his Great-Great Aunt, Sister Margaret Regina

Best Buds...

Izzie and Buster are my mom and dad's new puppies.  And while they love to play with each other...it was love at first sight for Cooper.  He liked feeding them...piece by piece.  He loved playing with them and would fall down on the ground and let them climb and lick all over him----hellooooo sanitizer.  Typically I keep a close eye on Cooper while he is there but there isn't much for him to get into so I wasn't too alarmed when I heard him out in the kitchen with the puppies---it's like the Three Musketeers....none of them are too far from each other.  Do you hear the "but" coming??   Yep, but it got kind of quiet....and this is what I found....of course being the stellar mother that I am....I like to document everything.  So I took pictures before I made him get out.  :)

Here he is barking at me....

He is holding the gate closed....not trying to open it.

How many kids can you fit.....

In an inflatable baby pool??  Well---  three so far.  Instead of joining a community pool this summer we decided to just get an inflatable pool because we were doing so much traveling.  We also have gone to a friend's pool some too.  It has been SO HOT!  I'm talking 107 degrees with the heat index....I'm sweating just thinking about it.

Part one....

well, the last three posts are all I will likely get in for today.  My little friend just woke up from his nap.  :)  Hope you enjoy them...come back in the next day or so for the really fun pictures from the last two weeks.  I'm just going to say there is water, boats, dogs, family, cookouts....so hurry back.  :)

Out to dinner...

we went out to a great little place in Downtown Baltimore called Joe Squared----they serve home-made specialty square pizzas.....you can get anything and I mean anything on your pizza here.  They have all kinds of beers....although I think rum is their speciality.  My parents and all of my little family sat outside and enjoyed the weather and of course we enjoyed people watching too.  There was also live music....I think this guy was named Joel
Edelstein?  He was good....and Cooper decided he wanted to get down and do a little jig to his music.

Uncle Rick's Retirement....

Back in June, Matt's family and my parents all came to town to celebrate his brother, Rick's, career in the United States Marine Corps.  He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel with the USMC, and had served over 20 years.

Here we go....

well, don't let this face fool you....we have had some fun times these last few weeks.  We have traveled to KY and back to MD via OH.  :)  Lots of miles on the car, but we had great times with Papaw, Gigi, and lots of my family!  And I know I have said it before, but there is a special place in heaven for the creator of the portable/in-car DVD player.
