Two Steps forward....Two Steps back...

And sometimes he goes in circles!  That's right folks....he is crawling.  He started doing it on Monday.   It's hilarious to watch him too.  He'll lay there playing for a while and then he'll toss the toy (he is intentionally tossing it) and go get it.  Yes, it's like my son is playing fetch with himself.  Heck, my dogs don't even play fetch that well.  Maybe we need to pay more attention to him...ha ha...I don't think it's possible to pay more attention to him.  He is definitely the center of our world.  He's also pulling up on anything and everything he can get his hands on.  We are definitely in need of baby-proofing the rest of our house in the next day or so....we just have to get the bathroom in the basement finished up.  Thankfully, Grandpa is here now to help us get it all done!

Spring Photo Shoot!

It was such a beautiful day out we decided to get some pictures of the kids out in the front yard.  Cooper was skeptical of the grass...I tried to get a few shots of him "petting" it and pulling back.  It was too funny to watch.  

Tupperware parties...

Take on a whole new meaning when you have children.   His shirt says "I'm rad like dad"....I love cute t-shirts like this one!  You just can't find as many cute things for boys.  

Cooper loves his Grampy

Cooper got to see his Grandpa a lot since he was in town for 10 days helping us with the bathroom and putting new wood floors in our bedroom.  Even when Grammy was here for the first few days of Grandpa's visit Cooper would go to sleep so much better for both of them than us.  Little booger!

Nap boycott!

About a week ago Cooper went on a nap strike...he didn't have a picket sign, but boy was he as loud as a whole crowd of people at times.  Anyhow, this is what happens when you don't take naps and try and wake up several times in the middle of the night.  You fall asleep when you're playing in your exersaucer and right in the middle of meals.   In one of the pictures you can even see that he was chewing on the pacifier.   He's not really a binky guy, but he'll take anything he can get his hands on because he's teething.

Look at how big he has gotten.....here he is in his "bathtub"...AKA our sink.  Soon he's going to be too big to take a bath in the sink....good thing we're re-doing our downstairs bathtub so that it's more user friendly.   Gosh...I just love those little chubby rolls and cheeks!

Missing in Action...

Well, I realize that I haven't updated the blog lately...but it's for a good reason.  We're remodeling our basement bathroom!  It's mauve...and I mean....really mauve with a bit of brass thrown in for good measure.  Much like the kitchen used to be---right down to the mauve painted fan blades.  Since moving in to our house we've slowly been replacing a few things downstairs until we got down to the big stuff---the shower, tile, and bathtub.  So, everyone has been working on it--- my dad, my husband, and my brother-in-law.  It's quite the project.  Here are a few pictures of the process....we're in the middle of tiling right now.  I think we'll be done in a few days.    The pictures actually post in order from most recent to before we "de-mauved".
