Welcome to our world! This little piece of the internet is about the adventures of our family which includes me (a working mom who loves to craft when possible), my husband (a working dad who travels a great deal), our three kids--a teenager, a preening pre-teen, and a handsome little preschooler. Oh, and our rotten golden doodle, Penny.

BRU coupon needs a good home...
Today we got one of those cute little ads for Bab.ies R Us with coupons. There are a lot of them in there for so many things, but the best one is the 15% off anything coupon. Could anyone use it...? I know BRU is a bit more expensive than other places, but some things you just can't find anywhere else. I'd hate for it to go to waste. I think they are good until 1/21.

Snow Days=Craft & Cookie Days
So, back in October I made jack-o-lanterns out of some glass containers in my recycling bin after I saw the great project idea on this site Freecycle Friday - Glowing Jack O'Lanterns. Well, here I was sitting in the kitchen with the growing recycling pile since I couldn't get to the recycling container under all the snow and thought I would make some snowmen just like I made the jack-o-lanterns. So here is the finished project. I made some with button eyes and noses, and some with tissue paper eyes and noses. The buttons were SO much easier.
Oh, and here are some of the cut-out cookies that I made and we all decorated. This was towards the end of the batch....all creativity was gone. I was in "get it done, and get out of my kitchen" mode. This year I also limited the number of designs we did for cut-out cookies so that I could limit the colors of icing I made....I only did snowmen (my favorite) and stockings. I know...I'm boring, but oh well.

Afraid...very afraid....

that's what I felt when going to sleep last night. I was afraid to see what I would wake up to this morning. Who knows what the actual total snowfall was....the wind was blowing so hard it's hard to tell, but I'm going with 20+ inches. Here are some pictures of us having fun outside this morning...even the dogs got in on the fun. They had a heck of a time running and chasing each other in the snow. Tasha even tried to hitch a ride on the sled with Cooper at one point. The snow finally stopped sometime late last night or this morning....
The good news is that being snowed in gave me lots of time to catch up on posting pictures. I think between yesterday and today I posted 5-6 times. A record maybe? At least for me.
Saturday morning snow pictures...

well, depending on where you are in the country you may or may not know that we have gotten A LOT of snow the last two and a half days. I'm talking 20+ inches by Sunday. And Baltimore, MD is NOT prepared to deal with this much snow. In the last few years that we have lived here it's more about being prepared to deal with ice and maybe a few inches of snow. At one point yesterday I wondered if it was ever going to stop snowing. Seriously...it was like living in a snow globe. Anyhow....Cooper loved going outside in the snow. We took a few sled rides up and down our driveway. Yep, I bought a sled thinking that maybe it would keep some of the snow away----guess sleds and snow aren't like having your umbrella and having no rain. There are also two in there of my stepson wearing his sister's boots....I thought he would greatly appreciate me recording him wearing pink snow boots. :)
Nothing spells fun like riding the mule...
around Grammy and Grampa's house. If we go for a visit and it's too cold or rainy to ride this everyone is always so disappointed. Here is also a picture of one of Cooper's first encounters with a cat.
This was choice #2...
for the Christmas card.....but it didn't make the cut. We ended up going with one that only had the three kids on it.
He just may be part monkey...
I mean--he likes bananas, he climbs on everything, his favorite stuffed animal is his sock monkey, and he makes a lot of noise too....nah, you're right---he's just a little boy! Notice that National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is playing in the back ground...it's a Thanksgiving tradition that we watch it every year. :)

What a little booger....
I swear....not two minutes before this photo was taken my little monster was crying and refusing to take a nap, but not two seconds after Grammy picked him up he was sawin' logs. Guess he is a man who knows what he wants....I'm just glad that Grammy had just walked in the door from work.

Brothers...
Cooper loves his brother, and vice versa. Can you tell...?
So, here are three separate posts (no one needs to point out that they're all basically from the same set of pictures)...hope that gives you a 'fix'. :)
